HBO premiered the movie “All the Way” on May 21. It is great film where Four Temperaments are clearly shown in action.

How do you “truly” climb into another’s skin and walk around? It is a hard thing to do, well. For that person may be a different kind of person from you, from a different time, and from a different place.

Each year an individual is awarded from each of the Four Temperaments: Artisan, Guardian, Idealist, and Rational. And we acknowledge this year’s passing of well known individuals who exhibited their Keirsey Temperament, In Memoriam.
The awards are given to individuals who are usually “famous” and have significantly impacted the world, as to illustrate and highlight the Four Temperaments. Keirsey Temperament Theory maintains all four Temperaments play important roles in society and we need all kinds of people to use their developed natural talents, to do the best at what they do best.
Randy has been busy, like all of us. Still Big Pharma is also busy and profitable as ever. Not that being profitable is bad, but when you do it partially from fraud, that is bad.
I’ve been off my blog for several months, though I haven’t been idle. I’m ready to get back to it. Let me tell you why.
I’m now on the Board of Directors of the International Society for Ethical Psychiatrists and Psychologists (ISEPP), and I’m the newly named Membership Director. I joined ISEPP three years ago when I retired. It’s the only group I’ve ever joined. We are professionals, parents, psychiatric survivors, and others dedicated to ending the use of the medical model and those abusive chemicals we take for fictitious diseases. As a reminder, I’m here to convince you the use of chemicals to “treat” unwanted behaviors in adults and children is modern day voodoo. We count ourselves in the hundreds at ISEPP, though our network has tens of thousands – and we’re growing. You can find more about ISEPP here.

One can try to “climb into another’s skin” through watching a movie or play, or reading a book. This is something we can do as humans. We can visit different lands and different tribes – the modern words for “lands” and “tribes” is countries and cultures. We can also visit some different “ages” – through movies and living in cultures that are different than your “culture” – although there are limitations and there is a possibility to not really get the “gestalt” of that age and place. Are you just a tourist or just an anthropologist?
Here are some autobiographies or biographies of the various Temperaments, many from a different time and different place. Climb into the person’s skin, and walk around in it – at least for awhile.

Norman Conquests: a trilogy of plays written in 1973 by Alan Ayckbourn. The plays are at times wildly comic, and at times poignant in their portrayals of the relationships among six characters. Each of the plays depicts the same six characters over the same weekend in a different part of a house.
